Keeping Your Puppy Safe
When bringing home a new puppy, it's essential to understand their health needs. This puppy is not fully immune to contagious diseases until they’ve completed all their core vaccine boosters. Therefore, it’s not safe for them to visit high canine traffic areas, such as dog parks, camping grounds, groomers, lakes, beaches, or even dog-friendly stores like Home Depot and Lowes. At the vet’s office, while your puppy is not on the exam table, they should be safely secured in a carrier or in your arms. Avoid letting them wander and sniff the clinic floors, and do not allow them on the grass outside the clinic, as the Parvo virus can survive on surfaces and in soil for over six months. Since sick dogs can visit vet offices, being vigilant is crucial.
Keeping your puppy away from crowded public areas is incredibly important, but do not isolate your puppy from socialization opportunities until they’re fully vaccinated at 16 weeks old. The first four months are critical for a puppy’s development, as this is when they can benefit most from puppy care tips that emphasize socialization. Introducing them to safe and healthy dogs, along with new experiences and people, will help create well-rounded companions. Remember, your genetic health guarantee doesn’t just cover physical health but also encompasses their social readiness for life outside your family bubble.
General Health Warranty
At the time of purchase, the breeder guarantees this puppy is in good health, is up to date on core vaccines and de-worming medications to the best of our knowledge. The puppy will receive a complete health check and will have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection.
1 Year Genetic Health Guarantee
A genetic health guarantee is offered to the buyer for 1 year from the birth date of this puppy. This genetic health guarantee covers hereditary, congenital, or genetic defects that could lead this puppy to lose quality of life before the age of 5 or shorten their lifespan. To validate this puppy health warranty, all medical records MUST be provided to the Breeder from 2 Veterinary specialists confirming an inherited genetic disorder or defect. If a genetic diagnosis is confirmed and documented proof has been supplied, the Buyer will have the option to return the puppy to the breeder for further testing and will receive a replacement puppy of equal value. The Buyer will only be responsible for the transportation cost of the new puppy. The Breeder is not financially or legally liable for any additional fees or expenses incurred by the Buyer.
General Health Warranty Limitations
This warranty does NOT cover non-genetic diseases or general health issues. Such issues include, but are not limited to, viral illnesses, internal or external parasites, bacterial infections, food or skin allergies, diabetes, hernias, dental problems or improper bites, heart murmurs, non-congenital heart disease, gastrointestinal or digestive concerns, protozoal diseases like giardia or coccidiosis, urinary tract infections, and cancer. It also does not cover illnesses arising from the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, stress-related issues, behavioral problems, physical injuries, or conditions that may have developed or contracted after possession of this puppy was transferred to the buyer.
Puppy Care Tips & Legalities
The Breeder neither makes nor implies any warranties or guarantees, express or implied, other than those detailed in this agreement, including warranties of merchantability and fitness. This document constitutes the entire agreement between the Breeder and the Buyer regarding this sale. By signing below, the Buyer confirms they have read, understand, and agree to all conditions of this Sales Agreement and Contract of Sale. Any disputes, mediation, or legal proceedings will be held in Benton County, Missouri. Both the Breeder and Buyer agree to uphold all covenants of this agreement.
